Kites How To Enjoy California Like A Tourist Posted By: Art

0 Kites How To Enjoy California Like A Tourist Posted By: Arthttp://kamikazekites.net
Southern California was always one of my family’s favorite areas in which to spend our vacation time. Disneyland was the prime escape for the entire family, but there were of course the plentiful beaches and endless activities that had their own special appeal.

But I noticed that once I moved to Orange County, I spent a lot less time enjoying all those things that had brought me there in the first place. Idle weekends slid past me, filled with complaints of being bored.

If you live in California, you probably recognize why there is such tourist fascination –perhaps to a fault! But you have the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the Golden State in your very own backyard.

So why spend your leisure time indoors, wondering what could possibly occupy your time, when you have opportunities for adventure all around you?

California is famed for its fair weather–not to mention its extensive system of wildlife preserves, nature preserves, national parks, and national forests. Get out there and enjoy them. My spouse and I committed to go hiking each week in our local parks during the summer and early fall.kitesurfing

Can I use a wakeboard for kiteboarding?

Posted on 29th August 2011 by admin in kiteboarding

I’m a beginner and just trying to get into the sport. Is this something that can be done?

If you are an experienced kiteboarder then yes you can, more and more professional kiteboarders are using binding rather than footstraps, but seeing as you a beginner don’t even try it, you are likely to get badly hurt. As a beginner you need to be able to get out of you straps on numerous occasions. I have been kiteboarding for over 4 years and i would never consider bindings. Also wake boards tend to be a lot heavier than kiteboards.

Kiteboarding a Natural Wonder – Gisela Pulido Splits the Rocks

0 Kiteboarding a Natural Wonder Gisela Pulido Splits the RocksGisela Pulido kiteboards one of the world’s natural wonders, the 12 apostles. Located in the Port Campbell National Park, the Twelve Apostles are a group of eight limestone stacks that jut out of the water up to 150 feet. The area is known for having steady winds and rough seas which provide quite the challenge for Gisela as she boards between the stacks and the cliffs that line the beach.

Prism Snapshot 1.2 Speed Foil Kite, Lime

Posted on 27th August 2011 by admin in kiteboarding

41aQKkmxKbL. SL160 Prism Snapshot 1.2 Speed Foil Kite, Lime
Product DescriptionThe smallest and fastest in the Snapshot series, the 1.2 is snappy and quick-turning to keep you on your toes in a breeze. An ideal intro to dual-line control, it’s small enough to fit in your pocket, perfect for travel or those spur-of-the-moment flight sessions. Carefully shaped ram air inlets keep the wing from collapsing in gusty winds and the elliptical planform minimizes drag for speed and acceleration. If you crash while pushing the envelope, there’s no frame to break and in most cases the sail will re-inflate and launch itself without a helper. Comes ready to fly with Spectra lines pre-attached, flight straps, tail and compact storage pouch.

Do you need a special board to do kiteboarding on ice?

Posted on 26th August 2011 by admin in kiteboarding

i know you need a specific kite boarding board to do it on water but when you kite board on a frozen lake or something do you have to buy a special kite boarding board you can you use a regular snowboard?
Also what kind of board do i need to kite board on ice and where can i get one in canada?

According to one local kiteboarding school I’ve looked at, regular skis or a regular snowboard would work. They teach their winter courses on frozen lakes that are usually snow-covered. You could probably check with a local kiteboarding school in your area to see what they recommend (and to get lessons, too).
